Cubs Acquire Another Catcher?

The Cubs have aquired Jason Kendall from the Oakland A's Monday evening. Jim Hendry, speaking on the Cubs telecast has confirmed the ESPN report, that the Cubs sent Rob Bowen and a minor league player to the A's.

The Cubs sent Bowen down before Monday's game, so it is likely they will have to make another roster move prior to Tuesday's game. Most likely Koyie Hill or Geovany Soto, the other two catchers on the roster, will have to be sent down to Iowa.

Update: The minor league player in the deal is Jerry Blevins, a 6'6" left-handed pitcher. Let's hope he's not a Dontrelle Willis type thrown in.
